Please always use an OFTEC competent technician to repair, install or service you oil boiler and NOT a Gas Safe technician who service gas boilers. They are Not the same!
Gas and Oil boilers work differently. Oil boilers have different parts and different regulations apply to where they can be installed. If you use a Gas Safe, Corgi technician or a regular Plumber, they may not be trained, competent or insured to work on your Oil boiler.
Dont get caught out. Always use a competent OFTEC technician.

Who are OFTEC ?
Oftec is the Oil Fired Technical Association. They are recognised by the Govenment, oil companies, heating appliance manufacturers as being the acceptable trade body in technician training and assessment for domestic oil heating, oil distribution and commercial oil firing industry.
For the oil industry in England and Wales, OFTEC registered technicians are the only people definded as 'Competent' and are able to self certify their work without the need for informing the local building control department.

Oil boiler won't fire up or on 'lock out' ?
The most common cause of a oil boiler breakdown is because its not been properly serviced in the last 12 months. In most cases you will find that the boiler has not come on and that the 'Red lock out light' is on !
When this happens it normally indicates that there is a fault on the boiler burner. Please dont push the lock out button more than twice or if there is a strong smell of Oil,. You could cause a fire!
Call us to diagnose the problem and get your boiler working again. Better still have you oil boiler serviced Every 12 Months by a competent OFTEC service technician.
