Plumbing Costs..£

We offer a very competitive hourly and half hourly rate for repairs. There is No call out fee, unlike some larger companies.

Prices range from £35.00 to £45.00 per hour for the 1st hour and £22.50 per half hour NO VAT, depending on what your requirements are, including materials at trade prices. Please contact us for an estimated cost of the work you require. Quotations are provided for larger projects.

Blocked drains; First hour £80.00. Then £55.00 per hour thereafter. Prices depend on what equipment is required to remove the blockage.

We are able to accept all major credit and debit cards from a mobile credit card machine.**Cheques will only be accepted with prior approval with exception of areas with no or low mobile signal.Please see our Terms and Conditions on this page.

 Oil boiler servicing costs

Boiler servicing costs range from £85.00 incl for standard efficiency oil boilers and £95.00 NO vat for high efficiency condensing oil boilers. 

Rayburn Ranges (excluding the Nouvelle} £175.00 incl. We only use the correct non drip nozzles pressure jet nozzles. Incorrect nozzles can severly damage the internal combustion chamber and cause costly repairs. Servicing your Rayburn can take up to three to fours hours to complete. We always remove the baffles for cleaning. 

The Service costs provided are for oil boilers that have been serviced within the last 12 months and proof of service can be provided.  If you are outside our local area, due to the rise in fuel prices, there is an additional charge made to cover travel.  

We service your oil boiler properly -  All boilers and burners have there;

  • Internal combustion chamber/baffles and burner cleaned
  • Turbulators cleaned and checked (condensing boilers only)
  • Nozzle or wicks replaced - ignition system checked
  • Fuel filters cleaned and/or replaced
  • Condensing boilers; trap cleaned & checked for leaks
  • Fuel hose / fuel pipe checked - Fired valve inspected and tested
  • Flue and flue seals inspected
  • Fuel tank inspected / fuel filter cleaned or replaced

Sealed system expansion vessel checked {if required} and the 'topping up' of central heating inhibitor [if required] and inspection of the central heating controls.

Please advise us if you require this additional service when you book an appointment.

A service on a standard efficiency boiler can take up to one and half hours and two hours for a condensing appliance, depending on the type of boiler and when it was last serviced. If your current service engineer is taking less than an hour to do the service, then its not being done properly.

 All services are carried out to the manufacturers instructions and by a competent Oftec Registered technician.

Upon completion, a Gas analyser test is performed on the burner/s and adjustments are made as required. A full written report is completed, outlining the service and any faults found.

Payment for work is required on the day of completion, unless other arrangements have been previously arranged. Oil boiler breakdowns are at the "discretion of the engineer on call". Please ask for more details when you call.

There is an out of hours charge in addition to the minimum hourly charge of One hour, plus travel costs if you are outside our local area. We do try to answer all calls personally, but you will appreciate that as a small business this is not always possible.

                    The engineer on call will return your call as soon as possible. 

 Terms & Conditions                      
  1. Our Estimates are valid for thirty days from the date provided. After this time it will be necessary to re-estimate the proposed job/s.
  2. There is no call out charge; but in event that we undertake Any diagnosis of a fault (verbal or written}, make temporary repairs or repair a fault or provide advice for the repair of a fault. Our normal hourly rate or emergency out of hours rate will be come payable. Please ask for our rates prior to accepting our services.
  3. Unless otherwise stated prior to a call out or service appointment, either during normal or out of hours. Payment for any work is payable upon completion. We do not 'invoice' the client unless this has been agreed prior to the call out or making an appointment for us to attend the property. 
  4. Failure to pay us upon completion, then we reserve the right to charge interest at 8.5% above the Bank of England base rate on any amount until the debt is paid in full. 
  5. We Guarantee all installations for 12 months from the day of completion {labour only.}
  6. Materials are covered by the manufacturers warranty {normally between twelve months to two years}
  7. We Only Guarantee materials that we supply. We will Not install materials or items that a Customer has supplied. Unless prior arrangements have been made and that the parts or units supplied are in an unopened box/s; that all the fittings supplied are correct. We will require a written disclaimer that in the event that a part or unit supplied by a customer deems to be faulty after installation by M. Oliver Plumbing & Heating or its sub contractor; no responsibilty will be taken by ourselves for faulty or non working materials.
  8.  In the event that the client changes the scope of the work on, before or during the installation. Any estimate provided will become void and will need to be re-estimated for labour time and any costs to materials.
  9. On all installations over a period of two days need to be paid for in Advance prior to commencing the installation.
  10. If an installation is to last over five working days, then Stage payments will be required at the end of every five working days. In the event we are not paid, payments missed, funds do not clear on time, we reserve the right to Stop work until the payments have been received in full.
  11. Time keeping; We will make every effort to attend at the time and date agreed. However we cannot accept any liability for arriving late or for the late delivery of materials outside of our control.
  12. If you are not satisfied with the installation or any part of it during the installation period. Please ensure you make us aware of these concerns prior to us completing the installation. We will not take responsibility to any remedial changes if they have not been pointed out to us during the installation period. Any changes thereafter will incur further costs to the client.
  13. Notice for the rights to cancel; the client has the right to cancel the contract within seven calandar days, starting on the day of receipt of the written notice. If you {client} wish to cancel within this period you must do so in writing to the email address {moliverplumbing34@gmail.com} or to the address provided. The cancellation is deemed served as soon as it is posted or sent by electronic mail. You should obtain proof of posting or sending and keep a copy. Written notification is provided if required.
  14. We will not cover and are unable to guarantee work,parts and equipment supplied to you, if they are or have been mis-treated,miss-used treated with neglect or if our work has been tampered with by anyone other than us or our sub contractors.
