Mark Oliver Plumbing & Heating is an OFTEC registered business for the safe installation and servicing of High efficiency OIL Fired boilers and an 'Appointed' service agent for AGA, Rayburn, Warmflow & Grant boilers.
Mark is a Registered Plumber with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing Heating Engineering [IPHE], a professional association which requires prospective members to prove their qualifications and experience prior to joining; members also have to adhere to a strict code of professional standards.
Mark's own qualifications include an NVQ2 in plumbing and domestic heating, a City & Guilds qualification in plumbing, has taken the Water regulations examination and is an "Approved Plumber" for the local water authority.
Recognising that many householders and businesses are wary of calling on the services of a plumber, for fear of the high costs involved and the difficulties in finding a competent plumber. Mark aims to keep his charges at an affordable and competitive level and attends several training courses throughout the year to update his skills and knowledge.

Oil boiler and Central heating upgrades
If your Oil boiler is over 15 years old and your annual fuel bill is high, you may wish to consider getting an OFTEC registered technician to install a replacement High Efficiency Condensing oil boiler.
Oil boilers that are over 15 years old are often only 60 per cent efficient, which may mean that every pound {£1.00} that is spent on fuel, forty pence {.40 P} is wasted.

The pictures below are from a recent installation showing a replacement and boiler upgrade from a standard efficiency boiler to a Grant Vortex High Efficiency Boiler.
The last picture on the bottom right; shows the 'plume' from the boiler flue terminal; this indicates that the appliance is working efficiently. As an alternative to a low level balanced flue kit, high or vertical flues are available, which moves the plume to a higher level.
